AUDIT OFFICE. KHAMMAM PROFILE
The District Audit Officer is the unit Officer as well
as the Controlling Officer of the District.
Under his control (6) Assistant Audit Officers are working,
(2) Assistant Audit Officers in the Office of the District
Audit Officer and (4) Assistant Audit officers are working
separately with the assistance of audit staff for conducting
audits of Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, ITDA., Municipal
Councils, Agricultural Market Committees, Zilla Grandhalaya
Samsthas etc.
The District Audit Officer is supervising the entire staff
in conducting audits and issue of audit reports within
time.
MAJOR
OBJECTS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

The
major object of the Department is conducting audits
on the accounts of Local bodies such as Zilla Parishad,
Mandal Parishad, Municipalities, Zilla Grandalaya Samsthas,
Gram Panchayats, including JGSY Funds and 10th Finance,
which are being released to gram Panchayats and also
other audits, which will be entrusted by the Government.
After completion of audits, the audit reports will be
issued to the concerned authorities.

Settlement of audit objections after verification of
replies furnished by the concerned Head of the Institution.

Issue of Surcharge Certificates on misuse of funds and
irregular payments etc.,
